What is the consignment program?

Our consignment program offers a premium gateway for collectors and owners of high end vape gear to sell their wares, and get the best value possible!  While “Buy and Sell” sites can be effective for some gear, it can be difficult to get the best value for your high end and collectible items.  Let our expertise and marketing work for you to get the best possible return for your valuable vape equipment!

What makes your consignment program more effective than selling on a “Buy/Sell”?

When you bring your items to Cloud Barista, two of our in-house experienced collectors will inspect and grade every aspect of your gear.  We will designate an overall grade for your equipment and rate it on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being absolute “mint” condition.  After we agree on a fair sale price based on its condition, collectability, and relevance we will clean and polish your gear before taking professional photos, and posting it on our website, and displaying it in our store.  There are many benefits to trying our consignment program:

• Trusted grading of the quality and condition of your gear.
• Professional photos of your clean and polished gear, gives it the spotlight it deserves!
• Your gear is posted on several online platforms and displayed in store for maximum visibility.
• Potential buyers can view your gear up close and in person without having to meet you at your house, or in a random parking lot. This alleviates the “pressure” of feeling like they have to buy it because they inconvenienced you to meet them somewhere, and gives them a sense of security not having to meet a stranger in a random place.  Convenience is paramount!

Does it cost anything to use the consignment program?

There is no upfront cost to bring your items to the consignment program for inspection and valuation.  If your item(s) are accepted into the program, and a fair sale value is agreed upon, we will take 15% of the sale price when the item is sold.  This cost covers the grading inspection, cleaning and polishing, professional photos, online marketing and shelf space for the displaying of your items.

Will you accept any used vape gear?

Unfortunately, not all gear will be considered for the consignment program.  If you are trying to sell a standard kit we encourage you to use your local “Buy and Sell” page.  The reason for this is simple: there are many of these kits and devices available for sale on the buy and sell pages already, and we don’t have the shelf space available for low-mid grade gear.  This program is intended for collectible, unique, high end and cutting edge equipment.  If you have any questions regarding the eligibility of your gear, please don’t hesitate to contact us for clarification!
